JOHN ARTHUR LITTLE
I want to transform how people think and feel about the world. I love topics that explore the intersection of art, science and mathematics because these are pathways that lead to understanding our world more deeply. I am passionate about teaching students to persuasively communicate their vision through creative media.
I encourage my students to find their voice and assert their agency in producing stories that matter to them. My approach to media is one of finding stories in evanescent experiences and share them with the world. I want our stories to be heard. I am a dedicated exhibiting producer and artist and, in parallel, I love teaching topics ranging from filmmaking, television production and photography to science, mathematics and technology. I bring a lot of experience to my classrooms as well as new tools. I teach traditional television and film production as well as Generative Artificial Intelligence based production. From script to VO talent, from AI image and video generation, from editing and audio post, I bring these tools to a modern classroom. I have worked in over twenty-five countries. I have lived in seven countries and I am a citizen of two of them. I speak three languages. I have taught students on the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming, I have taught students on the Arabian peninsula in Oman, students from remote mountain villages, I have taught first-nations aboriginal students in Australia and I have taught Chicago’s inner-city college students in Illinois. Every student I ever taught was looking for a better life - that's very important to me. |
I am a cancer survivor and, after a long battle, I am cancer free. That experience doesn't make me a statistic or a victim, however, it does serve to strengthen my commitment and joy for filmmaking, photography and television production - and especially for teaching it. I bring a lot of optimism and enthusiasm to my classrooms. Every classroom and every student has an opportunity to escape from the limits of their own imagination or circumstances to become what they truly want to be. I can help them find a path that guides them to their goals.
